Alana Beth Davies

I have had a number of careers – lecturer, politician, B&B landlady, dollshouse impresario – all while raising my family of 5 daughters, but it wasn’t until I had retired from all of these that I started to write in earnest. In the past few years, I have written and published a novel,  collections of short stories and of poems, and a number of children’s stories. I have helped other aspiring authors by editing their work, and I have self-published books on their behalf.

I gained a Distinction in my MA in Creative Writing at the University of Wales Trinity St Davids in 2023,

Mike Everley

I was born in the mining district of South Wales in another time, when coal was still king. Leaving school at fifteen I served an apprenticeship in electrical engineering before studying Philosophy, as a mature student, at Coleg Harlech, Aberystwyth University and the University of Leeds. I couldn’t have been too bad at it as they awarded me an MA and MPhil, probably to get rid of me. While at Aberystwyth I edited the student’s magazine Dragon. However, my real love has always been writing and as a freelance writer I was a member of both the Society of Authors and the National Union of Journalists. My poetry, short stories and articles have appeared in numerous literary magazines, specialist magazines and general interest magazines. For example: New Statesman, Poetry Wales, The New Welsh Review, Cambrensis, Outposts, Window on Wales, Country Quest, Family Tree, Popular Craft and Amateur Gardening and most of the Croner publications.

Annabelle Franklin is the author of three children's books, 'Gateway to Magic', 'The Slapstyx' and 'The Astral Gatecrashers: Bad Boy Wizard Book 1'. Her short story 'Mercy Dog' appears in award-winning anthology 'Unforgotten: The Great War 1914-1918'...

I’m a dog-loving, ice cream eating, Welsh rugby team supporting, Granny, who tries – but very often fails - to follow Jesus, and who writes because how can I not?

T G Hyde

Glenn Hyde began writing short stories just five years ago. He is meticulous in his research, and his extensive reading is evidenced in his work.. Originally from Merthyr Tydfil, he has been based in Swansea for around fifteen years. He has had some of his fictional works published in Anglo-Welsh anthologies, which he finds particularly gratifying. Glenn studied at the University of Glamorgan and Swansea University where he gained a BA First class honours in History. He has been inspired by writers such as Guy De Maupassant, Ray Bradbury, Emile Zola and others, particularly by their ability to put so much into relatively few pages. Readers may also recognise the influence of TV shows such as The Twilight zone and Black Mirror.

I have always been captivated by poetry, and especially the rhyming type. This inspired me to write my own, and I find it an entertaining way of expressing an idea or observation. My short poems are on Instagram: @paula_montez_poetry
